Nala, when she was rescued by BARCS. She was NOT a happy puppy!
Nala is a 2 yr old miniature poodle mix who is looking for her furever home.
Poor Nala was apparently on her own in the streets of Baltimore, MD for quite some time before she was taken to BARCS. Her white fur was almost black and so matted, no amount of brushing would make it right. While there, they realized that little Nala had an eye infection that was very serious. She was taken to an opthamologist who quickly decided it couldn't be saved either.
At first, Nala wasn't happy at all with all the human attention she was getting. Her eye was very painful and there were so many new places and people that she was confused and afraid. Everything she knew was now different. But with the love and adoration she received from her wonderful foster parents, it wasn't long until Nala bounced right back to become the happy, playful girl you see in the pictures.
